Pan de Azúcar is a city in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the Maldonado Department in Sector 3 , northeast of the Cerro Pan de Azúcar . The closest further settlements are Gerona in the west and Ruta 37 y 9 in the south. To the northwest there is also Nueva Carrara . Piriápolis is a few kilometers southwest .
history
On September 7, 1961, Pan de Azúcar was classified in the "Ciudad" category by Law No. 12.908.
