The tennis competitions of the IX. The 1983 Pan-American Games were played from August 15 to 25, with a day of rest on August 18, on the grounds of the Altamira Tenis Club in Caracas . Medals were awarded to women and men in singles and doubles as well as in mixed competitions. As in the previous games, the US college selection won four titles and Venezuela won the mixed competition.
