The Pandemonium Point (from English pandemonium 'hell noise' ) is a headland on the south coast of Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It marks the eastern boundary of the entrance to Bedlam Cove and the southern end of an ice-free ridge that forms the southern extension of the island.
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out measurements and naming in 1947. The name is derived from the innervating background noise emanating from the penguin colony immediately north of this headland.
