history

Waiting for the ducks to arrive in 2017

The festival took place for the first time in 2014. At that time, seven so-called music islands were set up between Soldiner Strasse and the library at Luisenbad at around 800 meters. In 2018, over 50 artists played on eleven music islands between the French Basin and the district court of Wedding over a length of almost two kilometers. 2019, the range was again extended by half a kilometer and moved from the Heubuder bridge to Gerichtsstraße . More than 40 solo artists and bands played at 13 venues, named after animal pank residents and their friends.

Program and motto

In addition to music, there is a children's program, performances, open-air cinema, theater, workshops, readings, such as 2019 by the Weddinger author Regina Scheer , and various projects are presented. The highlight of the year is the duck race in the Panke, from which the festival's motto "Duck good - all good."
