Pankratius Grueber (born before 1499; died after 1520) was a German sculptor and painter ( barrel painter ) who ran a carving workshop in Großenhain .

  • 1499: Katharinen altar of the Großenhain Katharinenkirche, now in Chemnitz

  • 1520: On May 21, 1520 the council and the altar people of the Michaeliskirche in Zeitz conclude a contract with the "honorable and well-known master Pankratius Grueber" in Grossenhain that he would give them a carved panel with six wings for the high altar for 210 guilders in the Rhineland within a year the Michaeliskirche should deliver. “Monday after the Exaudi anno 1520, the seated raht in beywesen and with the approval of the oldest two raths toe sampt by the church vetern and elderly of the churches zue S.   • around 1520: Marienaltar Nauwalde, 1904 sold to the Royal Saxon Antiquities Association in Dresden. The middle section that is still preserved is today in the Bautzner cathedral in the catholic part.
