The manor Frauenhain was the ancestral home of the von Pflugk family , who were enfeoffed with it in 1395 and owned Frauenhain until the 18th century. It was acquired by the Royal Saxon Chamberlain von Weissenbach in 1780. Around 1860 it was owned by the von Globig family. Between 1856 and 1875 Frauenhain belonged to the Grossenhain court office and then to the Grossenhain administration . The district size was 1900 with the district Lautendorf together 1651 hectares . In 1925 the population of Frauenhain was divided into 1,168 Evangelical Lutheran residents and three Catholics. In 1952, Frauenhain became part of the district of Riesa , which was formed from the administrative authority and became part of the Riesa-Großenhain district in 1994 .
