history

The street village on Gewannflur belonged to Grossenhain in 1406. A villula was mentioned here as early as 1274 . The basic rule exercised share by way of the manors Strehla and Frauenhain from the administration affiliation was also from 1696 to 1764 between the offices Großenhain and Oschatz shared. Pulsen was parish in Frauenhain and today belongs to the local parish. From 1816 the place belonged completely to the office of Großenhain, from 1856 to 1875 to the court office and then to the main office of Großenhain . In 1900 the area of ​​Pulsen was 305 hectares . In 1925 almost all of the residents were Evangelical Lutheran , only one was not. At the end of the 1930s, workers for the ironworks began to settle in Gröditz. As a result, the population of the place rose sharply from 134 (1939) to 2806 (1945). In the course of the district reform in 1952 , the administration was transferred to the newly formed Riesa district . During the GDR era, several row house settlements were built using prefabricated panels in Pulsen . On January 1, 1994, Pulsen's independence ended when it merged with Frauenhain , Raden and Koselitz to form the new municipality of Röderaue. In the same year, the Riesa district became part of the new Riesa-Großenhain district , which became part of the Meißen district on August 1, 2008 .
