A pancreatic rupture is a rupture of the pancreas and can, for example, be a rather rare consequence of blunt abdominal trauma. More often, the pancreas is injured in slim people. By one blow z. B. with the fist the pancreas can be pressed against the spine , which can cause cracks, which are mostly on the front between the pancreatic head and pancreatic body. The diagnosis can be made with the help of sonography (ultrasound). Through the crack, pancreatic secretion gets into the abdomen and in the worst case it can lead to acute pancreatitis , which may be accompanied by necrosis of the pancreas. In this case an operative renovation is necessary.
