SheshBesh

SheshBesh is a music ensemble that was founded in 1996 and consists of musicians from the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and instrumentalists from Arab, Christian and Muslim communities from northern Israel .

The ensemble belongs to the bilingual education program of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, which, contrary to other official political directions, highlights Arab and Hebrew commonalities. In addition to classical and Middle Eastern music, SheshBesh also plays his own compositions and has performed at major events in New York, Prague, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as well as at the Zemplén Festival in Hungary. A CD bearing the name of the ensemble has also been released.

SheshBesh was nominated for the KulturPreis Europa 2007 for the form of foresight and commitment in the Israeli-Arab, as well as in the European-Israeli-Arab relationship .

It is also the Hebrew name (ששבש) for the popular game backgammon .
