Culture Prize Europe

The European Culture Award gives the Cultural Forum Europe e. V. to people who, through the use of all their energy, contribute to the public perception of the idea of Europe as a model of more peaceful coexistence for many different people. The KulturForum Europa e. V. was founded in 1992 on the initiative of Hans-Dietrich Genscher to promote the common European idea in all areas of culture . The association is based in Düren . Mutual respect and tolerance should be promoted as a contribution to international understanding . Since 2005, the European Tolerance Award has also been awarded within the European Culture Prize.
