The panorama tower in the Heide Park Resort

The panorama tower , formerly called observation tower I , is a 104 meter high gyro tower in the Heide Park Resort in Soltau , which was built in 1985.

Technical

The tower has an eight-ton cabin that can accommodate 50 people. This is pulled counterclockwise to a height of 75 meters at a maximum speed of 2 meters per second . During the three-minute journey, the gondola rotates slowly, giving passengers a panoramic view of the park and the Lüneburg Heath .

Naming

After the second observation tower in the park, which was originally called the "Panorama Tower" , was converted into a Gyro-Drop Tower Scream for the 2003 season , observation tower I was renamed the Panorama Tower .

Special

The machine house on top of the tower shows the mascot of the park Wumbo and the lettering "Heide Park", which glow in the dark. With the mast attached above , the panorama tower at 104 meters is the highest attraction in Heide Park.
