The Panther Cliff is a striking cliff on the Loubet Coast in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises on the northeast bank of the Ensenada Aguayo north of the mouth of the Cardell Glacier .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1955 to 1957 were used by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave the cliff a descriptive name in 1960, as the dark and dotted rock is reminiscent of the fur of a panther . The cliff is a landmark for sledging teams in Darbel Bay .
