Paola Patrón

Paola Patrón (born October 4, 1967 ) is a former Uruguayan athlete .

Career

Patrón was active in the running competitions on the medium and long distances. She took part with the Uruguayan team in the 1982 South American Games in Argentina . There she came in seventh in the 1,500-meter run and in the 3,000-meter run . She set a new Uruguayan record over 3000 meters . At the Junior South American Athletics Championships in 1985 in Santa Fe on November 24, 1985, she improved the Uruguayan U-20 national record in the 3000 meter distance to the current (as of June 15, 2015) mark of 9: 59.04 min. Again she was part of the Uruguayan squad at the 1986 South American Games in Chile . However, she could not place in the medal ranks.
