Paolo Porpora

Paolo Porpora (1617-1673) was an Italian painter of the Baroque , the predominantly in Naples worked and to Blumenstillleben specialized.
He is a documented student of Giacomo Recco, the father of Giuseppe Recco, and worked under Aniello Falcone . He was a member of the Roman Accademia di San Luca from 1656 to 1658 . Apparently he was influenced by still life there by Dutch painters. Among his students were Giovan Battista Ruoppolo (1629–1693) and the Neapolitan artist Onofrio Loth (1665–1715).
