Papaya (2011)

Papaya is an open-air club on Zrće Beach on the island of Pag in Croatia . It is electronic dance music played daily and is open from late May to early September.

history

The Papaya was founded in 2002 as a beach bar with a pool. Afternoon after-pool parties became established. From 2005, international DJs were also occasionally booked. In 2007 the area was enlarged to accommodate up to 3500 people. Now star DJs such as Tiësto , Sven Väth , Hardwell and Paul van Dyk also appeared. Since 2011, the British DJ Magazine has listed the place in the world's top 100 clubs, some in the top ten. Since 2013 the club has served as the main floor of the Sonus Festival as well as various other festivals that are organized with the neighboring clubs Kalypso, Noa and Aquarius.

The characteristic round roof stage was installed in 2014.
