The Paperock is an isolated promontory in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Prince Albert Mountains, it rises 5 km northwest of Shomo Rock on the southern flank of the David Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1956 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Bernard C. Pape, construction worker on the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Antarctic winter 1966.
