Provinces of the Papua Region

Along with the Highlands, Islands and Momase ( Morobe-Madang-Sepik ), Papua is one of the four regions of Papua New Guinea .

It consists of the National Capital District ( Port Moresby ) and the provinces:

• Milne Bay Province
• Central Province
• Gulf Province
• Western / Fly Province
• Oro Province

The former Territory of Papua also included most of the Southern Highlands Province and a small part of the Chimbu Province , south of the main ridge.
