Career

The band was founded in 2001 under the name Sparky's Flaw as a high school band in Charlottesville , Virginia. When they supported Robert Randolph's performance at the University of Virginia in the mid-2000s , their popularity increased, and they released their first EP, One Small Step, on an independent label. Two years later they came to Smash Records . This was followed by the EP Sparky's Flaw , but before their first album release they renamed themselves to Parachute . Her debut album Losing Sleep was released in 2009 and reached number 2 in the album download charts and 40 on the official Billboard 200 . They also had a single hit with the song She Is Love from the Nivea commercial in the USA.
