Parade is an American journalistic supplementthat appears weekly on Sundaysin over 700 newspapers.

history

The magazine was started by Field Enterprises in 1941. John Hay Whitney , editor of the New York Herald Tribune , bought Parade in 1958, Booth Newspapers took over the paper in 1973 and was in turn bought by Advance Publications in 1976 . The supplement is printed on high quality newsprint . In terms of content, at least one central article is presented in the form of a feature and a series of regular columns. The advertising share is relatively high and sometimes also includes coupons or other deposits. With Parade Digital Partners an online network as well as the distribution to the newspaper partners is realized, the website has about 50 million monthly visitors. Due to the relatively long delay between the editorial deadline and delivery, there are occasionally somewhat embarrassing discrepancies. In January 2008, Benazir Bhutto was headlined as "America's hope against al-Qaida "; Bhutto was murdered on December 27, 2007. Similarly, the popular horse Barbaro was described as healthy in February 2007, but was euthanized at the end of January 2007.
