Paralaudakia is a lizard species from the family of Agamen (Agamidae), which in Asia from the Caucasus occurs to central Asia. The genus was only in 2012 herpetologists the Museum Koenig in Bonn described . The genus name Paralaudakia is made up of Laudakia , the genus to which the species of the genus Paralaudakia were counted earlier, and "Para" ( Greek : (παρά-) = next to).

features

The tail scales arranged in whorls are diagnostic features of the genus. Each whorl is usually made up of three, less often two or four scales. The scales on the throat are smooth, and those along the midline of the back (just above the spine) are larger than other back scales. The scales on the rest of the body are heterogeneous, irregular, and keeled. The tail length is twice the head-trunk length or is even greater.
