The Parallactic Islands (from English parallactic , parallactic, concerning the parallax ' ) are a group of six small islands off the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . They are located between the Azimuth Islands and the Kellas Islands in Holme Bay .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after Parallactic Island , the most northwestern island in this group.
