The Kellas Islands consist of two small islands off the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . They are located 800 m south of the Parallactic Islands in Holme Bay .
They were mapped using aerial photographs taken during the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1958 and 1959. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named them after William RA Kellas, a weather observer at Mawson Station in 1960.
