Paramecium bursaria (also Green paramecium ) is a type in the genus of paramecium ( Paramecium ) from the strain of ciliates (Ciliophora). It lives in symbiosis with green algae ( zoochlorella ). These are stuck in the cortical plasma or swim in the entoplasm.
Its size is 90 to 150 μm. It has two contractile vacuoles . The macronucleus is pear-shaped. The pharynx is ciliated.
