The Parera Pond is a small lake in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Taylor Valley , it is 1.5 km south of Andrews Ridge .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1998 after the Maori name for an eyebrow duck ( Anas superciliosa ).
