Paris Fashion Week
The Paris Fashion Week is a twice a year in Paris held Fashion Week , which is especially important in the area of women's fashion. Together with the fashion weeks in New York , London and Milan , it is counted among the four most important fashion weeks in the world, the "Big Four".
Paris Fashion Week usually takes place as the last of the four major fashion weeks. At the end of February and beginning of March the collections for the upcoming autumn and winter will be shown, at the end of September and beginning of October the collections for next year's spring and summer will be shown. The Fashion Week program consists of more than 90 centrally scheduled fashion shows from various brands (including Chanel , Dior , Jean Paul Gaultier and Alexander McQueen ), as well as various other events and receptions at which fashion and accessories are only marginally presented.
In addition to Paris Fashion Week, which focuses on prêt-à-porter fashion, there are offshoot events that focus on haute couture or men's fashion.
