Park "DongRaeGu" Soo-ho (born June 3, 1991 ) is a former South Korean e-athlete in the computer game StarCraft II . He is one of the most successful Zerg players in StarCraft II and had his most successful phase in 2012 when he earned almost $ 150,000 in prize money.
Career
Park Soo-ho was already active in StarCraft: Brood War , but was not yet a professional player there. During this time he got to know his long-time friend, training partner and also pro-gamer Jeong "Genius" Min-soo .
In the beta phase for Starcraft 2, DongRaeGu and Genius moved away from StarCraft: Brood War. Some time after its release, he also joined MVP's B-Team , called Project Supreme. DRG caused a stir by being one of the first players to score 4000 points on the Korean ladder. During this time, DRG also declined an invitation to the SlayerS team in order to then join the MVP team. Especially in the GSTL Park Soo-ho was able to achieve the first successes for his team and made a name for himself by defeating other well-known players such as MC .
His first single title in a GSL tournament was the "LG Cinema 3D Special League". Several failures in solo tournaments followed, but he continued to show impressive performances in the team tournaments of the GSTL. DongRaeGu's next major success was the DreamHack Valencia Invitational with first place and $ 15,000 in prize money. The next win at an international tournament was DRG at the IEM Season VI in New York against FruitDealer .
Towards the end of the year, DRG also finished third at the MLG Providence Event. At the beginning of 2012 he was able to win the GSL . This was followed by further top placements on MLG tournaments and the penultimate OnGameNet Starleague .
Since 2013 he has not been able to build on his great successes of 2011/12. In October 2016, he ended his active esports career when he entered the military.
