The park stage is right next to the Swiss Life Hall and can therefore use the infrastructure of this large event hall if required. The park stage was opened in 2002 as the “Gilde Parkbühne”. Between 2010 and 2012 it was only called "Parkbühne Hannover", until it got the name of the main sponsor back. This is the Hanover-based Gilde Brewery . The park stage is operated by "music & sports hall GmbH & Co. KG", a subsidiary of Hannover Concerts .

The venue has a stage covered with white fabric on a meadow area of around 3500 m² for around 4000–4500 standing visitors and a grandstand with around 700 seats.

concept

The park stage was designed to bring artists to Hanover for open-air events in the order of magnitude of up to 5,000 spectators who had not previously come to the city for open-air events. This has also been successful: the Parkbühne has been used by numerous artists since 2002 and is considered one of the most important open-air venues in northern Germany.

In addition to the appearances of prominent artists, the Parkbühne has been the central public viewing site for football world and European championships in Hanover since 2006 . It also hosts the annual open-air cinema festival "Seh-Fest".

New open-air neighboring stage in the sports park

For larger open-air events within the sports park with an audience of around 10,000 to 13,000 spectators, a mobile stage and mobile grandstands will be built on the all-around facility directly adjacent to the park stage from 2013. At such events, the all-around facility is renamed "Sportpark Hannover". According to official information, the all-round facility now bears the name " Erika Fisch Stadium ", which is largely unknown in the city . At the concerts on the all-around facility, the infrastructure of the park stage and other neighboring facilities will be used by the organizer. It all started with three concerts by David Garrett , Peter Maffay and Helene Fischer from June 21 to 23, 2013 .
