Parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on May 30, 1999. There were 75 direct mandates and 56 seats that were distributed at the national level by proportional representation. The Unity bloc emerged as the strongest political alliance and received 62 of the 131 seats. This political alliance consisted of v. a. from the Republican Party of Armenia and the Armenian People's Party . The turnout was 51.7%.
