General election in Grenada 2018
The parliamentary elections in Grenada 2018 for the House of Representatives of the Caribbean island state Grenada took place on March 13, 2018.
Election result
The New National Party (NNP) of Prime Minister Keith Mitchell won all 15 seats in the House of Representatives for the second time in a row, keeping the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) under the leadership of former Prime Minister Tillman Thomas out of parliament again.
During the election campaign, the NNP referred to the government's successes, citing job creation and economic growth as examples. Mitchell was sworn in for a fifth term as Prime Minister on March 16. For the new legislative period it committed itself to "ensure more efficiency and sensitivity and to combat waste and corruption in the public service".
