The Parma-Schanze is a ski jumping facility in the Finnish municipality of Lieto . It is run by the Finnish sports club Liedon Parma ry .

history

After the club's Pernavuoren ski jump near Turku, which was inaugurated in 1950, threatened to decay, a suitable winter sports area was looked for. The record on the old hill was 41.5 m. Planning for the new facility began in 1960 with the participation of local farmers. In 1963 the first ski jump was built on the approximately 600 hectare site in Lieto, and the K55 followed in 1968. A little later the other jumps were built. In 1975 the junior European championship in ski jumping and jumping for the junior world championship in Nordic combined took place on the normal hill (K82). The Austrian Anton Innauer was the junior European champion of the special jumpers ahead of Rune Hauge and Roger Ruud .

Today there is a normal hill with K-point 82, a K55 and a K18. The jumps are not covered with plastic mattings and no longer have an FIS certificate. However, there are still unofficial competitions with international participation.
