Parmen Weggun

Parmen-Weggun was the name of a municipality in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg .

The parish was created on July 1, 1965 from the parishes of Parmen and Weggun. On July 1, 1992, it merged with eleven other municipalities to form the Northwestuckermark Office to deal with its administrative business . On December 1, 1997, in the voluntary phase of the municipal reorganization in Brandenburg, it merged with the Arendsee municipality to form Weggun, which was merged into the larger municipality of Nordwestuckermark on November 1, 2001 .

At the time the municipality was dissolved, the population was 475.

Parmen

The first documentary mention can be given with Reyberus de Parmen for the year 1302. In 1375 the place is mentioned in the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg and is owned by the von Pfuel family .

Weggun

Weggun is first mentioned in a document in villa Weghun in 1331 . Weggun is listed in the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375.

In the Weggun-Waldsiedlung district, an NVA office (FLA missile department 234) was located from the mid-1960s to 1990 .
