The Northwestuckermark Office was an office in Brandenburg established in 1992 , in which eleven municipalities in the then Prenzlau district (now the Uckermark district , Brandenburg) were initially combined into an administrative association. The official seat was the municipality of Schönermark . The office was dissolved again in 2001 and largely coincides with the area of ​​the municipality of Nordwestuckermark.

Geographical location

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the establishment of the Northwestuckermark Office on July 20, 1992. July 31, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office was based in the municipality of Schönermark and initially consisted of eleven municipalities in what was then the Prenzlau district :

On December 1, 1997, the communities Röpersdorf and Sternhagen merged to form the new community Röpersdorf / Sternhagen. Also on December 1, 1997, the communities Arendsee and Parmen-Weggun merged to form the new community Weggun. On May 1, 1998, the communities of Beenz and Gollmitz formed the new community of Gollmitz.

From the municipalities of the office of Nordwestuckermark Ferdinandshorst, Fürstenwerder, Gollmitz, Kraatz, Naugarten, Röpersdorf / Sternhagen, Schapow, Schönermark, Weggun and the municipality of Holzendorf from the office of Prenzlau-Land , the new municipality of Northwestuckermark was formed with effect from November 1, 2001 . At the same time, the office of Nordwestuckermark was dissolved and the municipality of Nordwestuckermark was made free.
