Office Prenzlau-Land

The Prenzlau-Land office was an office in Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which initially twelve municipalities in what was then the Prenzlau district (now the Uckermark district , Brandenburg) were combined to form an administrative association. The official seat was the city of Prenzlau . The office was dissolved again in 2001.

Geographical location

The Prenzlau-Land office was in the north of what is now the Uckermark district . It bordered the Northwestuckermark Office and the Lübbenow / Uckermark Office in the north, the City of Prenzlau in the east, the Brüssow Office and the Gramzow Office in the south, the city of Prenzlau in the south and the office further south and west Northwestuckermark.

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the creation of the Prenzlau-Land Office on July 20, 1992. July 31, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office was based in the city of Prenzlau, which was not an office, and initially consisted of twelve communities in what was then the Prenzlau district :

On August 27, 1992, the community of Güstow (Prenzlau district) was assigned to the Prenzlau-Land office.

On December 30, 1997, the communities Blindow and Schenkenberg merged to form the new community Schenkenberg. On December 31, 1997, Falkenhagen and Holzendorf formed the new municipality of Holzendorf. And also on December 31, 1997, the municipalities of Damme, Drense and Grünow merged to form the new municipality of Grünow. From the municipalities of the office of Nordwestuckermark Ferdinandshorst, Fürstenwerder, Gollmitz, Kraatz, Naugarten, Röpersdorf / Sternhagen, Schapow, Schönermark, Weggun and the municipality of Holzendorf from the office of Prenzlau-Land, the new municipality of Northwestuckermark was formed with effect from November 1, 2001 .

On November 1, 2001, the communities of Dauer, Dedelow, Güstow, Klinkow, Schönwerder and the Blindow district of the community of Schenkenberg were incorporated into the city of Prenzlau. The municipality of Grünow in the Prenzlau-Land office changes to the Gramzow office on November 1, 2001. The municipalities of Göritz and Schenkenberg (without the former Blindow district) are assigned to the Brüssow (Uckermark) office. With the incorporation of most of the municipalities in the city of Prenzlau and the transfer of the remaining municipalities to other offices, the Prenzlau-Land office was dissolved on November 1, 2001.
