Parno Graszt is a Roma folklore group from Paszab , Hungary . The group is dedicated to authentic Roma music.

"Parno Graszt" is Romani and means "white horse" (the white color symbolizes purity and the horse freedom). "Parno Graszt" was founded in 1987. They sing both Romani and Hungarian, and a song is often sung in both languages ​​alternately and simultaneously. Everyone can sing and dance in Paszab, the core group consists of almost ten musicians, but seventeen musicians also play, their musical roots are the collective music of the region. A dance group of around 10 often performs with the group. After the release of the first CD Rávágok a zongorára , it climbed to seventh place on the European World Music Charts in October 2002 . On the initiative of the BBC , Hungarian television made a film in 2003/2004 entitled Parno Graszt: Holidays and everyday life about the group (director: Sándor Silló, 2004, 58 minutes). In 2005, the Swiss magazine Vibrations named Parno Graszt one of the ten best music groups.
