Parodia alacriportana is a species of plant in the genus Parodia in the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet alacriportana refers to the occurrence of the species near Porto Alegre .

Parodia alacriportana grows individually. The spherical to short cylindrical dark green shoots reach a diameter of up to 8 centimeters. There are 16 to 31 ribs . The four to ten brown to yellow or white, occasionally golden yellow central spines are sometimes hooked. They have a length of 0.7 to 1 centimeter. The up to 22 bristle-like, spreading, yellow to creamy white or yellowish white radial spines are up to 8 millimeters long.
The yellow flowers reach a diameter of 3 to 3.5 centimeters and lengths of up to 4 centimeters. Your scar is cream-colored to yellowish white. The green elongated fruits are up to 1 centimeter long. They are trimmed with white wool and bristles.
Distribution, systematics and endangerment
Parodia alacriportana is common in the Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina .
The first description by Curt Backeberg and Otto Voll was published in 1949. Nomenclatory synonyms are Notocactus alacriportanus (Backeb. & Voll) Buxb. (1967), Brasiliparodia alacriportana (Backeb. & Voll) F. Ritter (1979) and Brasilicactus alacriportanus (Backeb. & Voll) Doweld (1999, incorrect name ICBN -Article 11.4?).
