  • In general, orchestral musicians can use correct grades.
  • Patent attorneys prefer to work with a contingency fee.
  • English novelists read essays.
The commonality to be found here is: The first letters of the words of a password result in the name of a tree (in the example: maple , palm , alder ).

The content of the slogans is mostly irrelevant for the solution. However, it can be used to point out what you are looking for (or to put the “wrong track”) and thus to influence the level of difficulty of the puzzle.

Password puzzles in internet forums

Password puzzles can be solved alone or (especially in Internet forums ) by several solvers and in interaction with the puzzler. The players do not solve the puzzle by naming the rule ("The first letters result in the name of a tree"), but by formulating their own slogan (eg: " E ndlich! I ch b in e successful!", Yew ) whose validity must be confirmed by the puzzler. As a result, even after a correct slogan, the solution is not revealed to the players and thus the chance to solve the puzzle yourself is preserved. As a moderator, the puzzler becomes an active player who tries to gradually lead those who are still puzzling to the solution through tips that build on each other.
