The Parr's Ditch (also Black Bull Ditch called) is an underground watercourse in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham . The watercourse is created in the Brook Green area of Hammersmith , it crosses Hammersmith Road and Talgarth Road, it then crosses Fulham Road and into the Thames next to Riverside Studios near Hammersmith Bridge.
The watercourse is said to have been created artificially and marks the historic border between Hammersmith and Fulham . After increasing pollution, the watercourse was relocated to an underground channel in 1876. Its confluence with the Thames is still marked today by a historical boundary stone in the bank fortification and a warning sign indicates the introduction of a sewer.
