The Parti Communautaire National-Européen ( PCN ) is a Belgian party .

history

The party was originally founded in 1965 by Jean-François Thiriart . In the 1980s, large parts of the party split off and joined the Belgian Front National . In 1984 the name was changed to Parti Communautaire National-Européen . The party is led by Luc Michel, a Thiriart supporter and member of the neo-Nazi party FANE.

ideology

Although the party is located in the extreme right, it is striving to dissolve the individual nation-states, which are to be replaced by a European superstate. The European state should protect the individual peoples from supposed "invaders" such as Islam, communism or the USA.

The party follows an eclectic program of left and right ideas, such as multi-ethnic nationalism and elements of Maoism . The neo-fascist Jean-François Thiriart is considered an ideological pioneer .

In terms of foreign policy, the party supported or supported the Baathist presidents Saddam Hussein , Muammar al-Gaddafi and Bashar al-Assad .
