The Partido Animalista Contra el Maltrato Animal ( PACMA , Basque: Zezenketen Aurkako eta Animalien Aldeko Alderdia , ZAAAA, German for example: Party of animal rights activists against animal abuse ) is a Spanish political party . Above all, she campaigns for animal rights , especially against bullfights .
The party was founded under the name Partido Antitaurino Contra el Maltrato Animal (anti-bullfighting party against animal abuse) on February 24, 2003 in Bilbao . It has its strongholds in Catalonia and Galicia , but competes across Spain.

The party has been running regularly in provincial and national elections since 2007. In the most recent parliamentary election in November 2011 , she received 102,144 votes and 0.42% of the vote, but could not win a seat. The best results at the provincial level were 0.53% in the election to the Provincial Assembly of Madrid in May 2011 and 0.54% in the 2012 election in Galicia. In the 2015 Spanish parliamentary elections , PACMA received 0.87% of the vote. In the 2016 election , the party increased to 1.18% of the vote, making it the party with the highest number of votes outside of parliament.
