The Partido Republicano Progressista , short form PRP (German Republican Progressive Party ), was a party in Brazil . It was founded on May 24, 1989. The entry at the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) took place on October 29, 1991. The small party had party number 44, its colors were blue and yellow. The chairman was Ovasco Resende .

The party dissolved in late 2018 or early 2019 or joined the right-wing extremist party Patriota (Brazil) .

ideology

It was initially headed by Ademar de Barros Filho and was modeled on the Partido Republicano Progressista (1945) party of the same name, which existed from 1945 to 1965 and was dissolved by party decree AI-2 at the beginning of the military dictatorship.

Mandates from 2014

After the 2014 elections in Brazil , it had three seats from 513 federal representatives and twelve of 1024 seats in individual states, including three in the state of Espírito Santo .

In election years without her own candidates, she joined the electoral alliances of other candidates. In the 2018 elections in Brazil , she was part of the fourth-largest campaign coalition with more right-wing candidates.
