Pascal Riché

Pascal Riché (* 1962 ) is a French journalist, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Rue 89 .

Life

After working as a journalist for Ouest-France and La Tribune de l'economie , he came to Liberation in 1989 . Before he went to Washington as a correspondent in 2000, he was head of its economic department. During his time in the United States, he followed the 2004 presidential campaign. On that occasion, he started a blog in early 2004. He contributed to the American collective blog "TPM cafe". After heading the Liberation debats page, he left the daily newspaper as editor-in-chief in 2007 to found the Internet magazine Rue89.

He is the son of the historian Pierre Riché . He has a university degree in public law, is a former student of Sciences Po Paris and the Center de formation des journalistes (CFJ). He is also the “young leader” of the French-American Society.

  • "The European Monetary Union" together with the economist Charles Wyplosz (Seuil 1993)
  • “The Seven Years War, the unknown story of the strong franc” with Eric Aeschimann (Calmann Levy, 1996). This is an investigation into the economic policy made in 1989 and 1996 and received the IFG Prize for best book about it.
