Pasinger Archive

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pasinger Archive is a non-profit association and the district archive for Pasing . It is located in the Ebenböckhaus (Feichthofstraße 27, 81247 Munich- Pasing).

The focus of his work is the collection and archiving of photographs , documents and historical documentation as well as the publication of research results.

Photo collection

The starting point of the photo collection of the Pasinger Archive is to be found at the beginning of the 1960s, when the Pasing town center was fundamentally changed through structural interventions - e.g. B. through the demolition of the Diamalt factory (Bäckerstraße) in 1963.

The Pasing citizens Thomas Hasselwander and Helmut Ebert began to document this change in the Pasing townscape with a camera. In the decades that followed, not only were current changes recorded, but many photographs from Pasing's history were also collected. This resulted in the Pasinger Archive and its extensive image archive with currently around 25,000 photographs.

Aerial photos of Pasing through the Pasing archive

The Pasinger Archive took the first aerial photographs of Pasing in 1984. In 1995, the next series of aerial photos followed, which were made during the filming of the Pasing film . So video film productions about Pasing were also made by the Pasinger archive.

Font collection

In the last few decades, the Pasinger Archive has compiled an extensive collection of documents, which, in addition to books, also includes plans, association statutes, commemorative publications, term papers by students and specialist work by pupils, menus, brochures and other objects. Added to this are all issues of the Pasinger Zeitung , which appeared from 1895 to 1921, and almost all issues of the Neue Pasinger Zeitung from August 1925 to March 1933.

Reproduction of image and text documents

The Pasinger Archive has specialized in reproducing submitted originals immediately so that these valuable unique items can be taken back with you immediately. The content of the documents and the views on the images are important for archive work.

Publications

The first book in the Pasinger Archive appeared in February 1982. The second volume followed in December 1982, which was much more elaborate and extensive. In 1991, an anniversary volume with a colored cover image was published for the tenth anniversary.

The PASINGER ARCHIVE series with photographs from Pasing from the past year with images from earlier days of Pasing's history is now published annually at the end of October.

The volume of the series of publications in the Pasinger Archive now amounts to over 2,700 pages.

Exhibitions

The Pasinger Archive repeatedly creates exhibitions that are shown in the rooms of the Munich adult education center, in the Pasinger factory , the Pasinger town hall or in schools.

Prizes and awards

financing

The Pasinger Archive is run by honorary members and has so far been able to do without public funding, if one does not take into account the transfer of the urban spaces in the Ebenböckhaus from April 1, 1994 onwards. The publications are realized without advertising income and are therefore dependent on private donations.
