Passailer Library

The Passailer Hofhaus in the market town of Passail at No. 45 has housed the Passailer library since 1980.

The house was named in 1420 as the courtyard house of the noble Stubenberg family . The use as a nail forge was mentioned, which is explained by the location directly on the Raab - which flows along the long side and back of the house - the use of water power was still explained today. The house was handed over to the citizenry in the 16th century. In 1726 it was expanded and used as a poor house and hostel in the 19th century . The building was donated in 1913 to the market community. After a restoration in 1980, the house was dedicated for use as a library .
