Pat Binder

Pat Binder (* 1960 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine installation artist who lives in Berlin .

Pat Binder studied from 1979 at the national art school in Buenos Aires . From 1989 to 1992 she lived in Canada and since 1996 in Germany.

She has participated in a number of exhibitions, including the 5th and 6th Havana Biennials and the 2001 Argentine im Spiegel exhibition organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Argentina and the Goethe Institute . She exhibited her work there together with Argentine artists such as Celia Caturelli , Miguel Rothschild , Viviana Martínez-Tosar , Martín Mele , Alejandro Dhers , Pablo Castagnola .

In 1996 the IFA gallery in Berlin presented its exhibition Zapping . From 1997 to 2005, as the winner of an art-in-building competition , she realized the memorial photo / graphics gallery Käthe Kollwitz on Kollwitzplatz in Berlin. In this light box gallery she presented graphic works by 29 international artists at the location of the house of Käthe and Karl Kollwitz .
