Viviana Martínez-Tosar

Viviana Martínez-Tosar (born August 1, 1960 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine artist who now lives in Berlin.

Life

After studying dance choreography and notation, Viviana Martínez-Tosar began studying visual art and stage design in Buenos Aires in 1978. She continued her studies at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin . Since 1982 she has shown her work and performances in numerous exhibitions in Europe and Argentina.

She has also taken part in a number of group exhibitions, including the Argentinian in Spiegel exhibition in 2001, which was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Argentina and the Goethe Institute. She exhibited her work there together with Argentine artists such as Celia Caturelli , Miguel Rothschild , Patricia Pisani , Martín Mele , Alejandro Dhers , Pablo Castagnola and Pat Binder .

From 1996 to 1997 she was a member of the “artist group KrypTonale”, an association of artists who want to develop concepts for interdisciplinary space and architecture related sound art projects.

Today she works as a "sound artist" and composer and lives in the Künstlerhof Berlin-Buch.
