Pat Moylan

Pat Moylan ( Irish Pádraig Ó Maoileáin , born September 12, 1946 in Banagher , County Offaly ) is a senator in the upper house of the Irish Parliament and was also its chairman from September 13, 2007 to May 25, 2011 as Cathaoirleach .

1997 Moylan was first chosen for the Fianna Fáil in the Seanad Éireann. After his failed re-election in 2002, he remained in office because he was nominated for a Senate seat by Taoiseach Ahern . Moylan managed to defend his seat in the 2007 elections. Since September 13 of the same year, Moylan has been chairman of the Seanad Éireann ( Cathaoirleach ), replacing his party colleague Rory Kiely .

Moylan is married with three sons and one daughter.
