Patergassen

Patergassen is a district of Reichenau in Carinthia (cadastral community St. Margarethen). The village is 1062  m above sea level. A. in the bottom of the upper Gurktal , at the confluence of Kleinkirchheimer Straße (B 88) and Turracher Straße (B95). In Patergassen there is a kindergarten, a primary school and a new middle school. The police station for the community and a Johanniter ambulance for the communities of Reichenau, Gnesau and Bad Kleinkirchheim are also in the village. In addition, one of the two Reichenau electoral districts is named after Patergassen. In 1846 the place had 77 inhabitants; in the 2001 census, 239 inhabitants were surveyed. In 2014 there were 228 residents in 100 households and 28 workplaces in a total of 74 buildings.
