Patient forum
The patient forum is an informal alliance of organizations of the medical profession and self-help in Germany.
The patient forum was founded in 2001 on the initiative of the German Medical Association. Other members are the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians , the Federal Working Group on Self- Help for People with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses and their Relatives, the Forum for the Chronically Ill and Disabled People in the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband and the German Working Group on Self-Help Groups
. a. the involvement of patients in decision-making processes in the healthcare system , the improvement of the cooperation between doctor and patient cooperation , the participation of patients in the development of medical guidelines and patient information .
