Rainer Hennig
Rainer Hennig (born March 30, 1945 in Lippertsgrün near Naila ) was the environmental officer of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria from 1991 to 2001 . In 2006 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .
Hennig was able to attract more than 1000 honorary environmental officers through his work. Primers published by him ("Kirchliche Baufibel", "Friedhofsfibel", lifestyle book "simple ", guide" For the sake of creation ", shopping guide" Our neighbor farmer ") contain information on concrete environmental protection measures in the area of the church. He also successfully advocated the use of energy-saving lamps and water- saving devices in parishes.
The construction of a wind power plant was realized from donations, which finances church environmental advice with its proceeds.
Henning was also chairman of the "Creation preserve concrete" association from 1995 to 2003, and was committed to ecological projects in Tanzania and the use of renewable energies in the Czech Republic .
