Career

Dubiez made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1977/78 . After rather mixed results in the first three competitions, he reached 36th place in Bischofshofen and thus 48th place in the overall tour score. In the following Four Hills Tournament in 1978/79 he ended up in the individual jumping even further behind than in the previous year. He therefore finished the tour with only 429.8 points in 64th place overall.

Despite the creation of the Ski Jumping World Cup , Dubiez continued to only take part in the Four Hills Tournament . At the Four Hills Tournament 1979/80 he made his debut in the World Cup at the opening competition on December 30, 1979. However, the tour was less successful, so that he completed the tour as 86th overall. After Dubiez had skipped the tour in 1980/81, he only returned to the Four Hills Tournament in 1981/82 in preparation for the Nordic World Ski Championships , where he only improved slightly. He finished the tour in 74th place overall.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 Dubiez landed 50th on the normal hill. He surprised everyone on the large hill and finished 26th. Only two years later Dubiez returned to the international stage. In the Four Hills Tournament 1984/85, which he used again as preparation for the World Cup, he missed again to jump into the top of the world. So he finished the tour again only beyond the top 80 of the overall ranking.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld in Tyrol he also missed the improvement in his good performance from 1982. He jumped from the normal hill to 42nd place and from the large hill only to 36th place.

He played his last Four Hills Tournament 1985/86 again with no prospect of success. After three competitions he broke off the tour as 90th in the overall ranking. Dubiez played his last international tournament when he started at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 in Oberstdorf . However, he only jumped from the large hill and reached 64th place.
